Marshall Street — Syracuse University's Business Hub

While on campus for Homecoming Weekend in October 2007, Stumptown Orange club member Ken Kane took these shots along Marshall Street. Old-timers will be happy to know at least a few of the old haunts are still there, like Manny's, Cosmo's and the Varsity. But the street's been gussied up over the years, too.

Ken had lunch at the Varsity (truth in advertising: he was always more of a Varsity than a Cosmo's guy). The pizza is still cheap (slices start at $1.50) and good, though perhaps the slices are a tad smaller than he'd remembered. Spiro has passed away but his family is still involved with the operation.
